There are so many different cars around these days, and the general public only really knows about half of them. Everyone knows about the regular car companies. People know all about these car makers and they also know about the standards they can expect from these companies. There are also other car companies that most people know about, but only a half of the population would ever have the finances to own one of their cars. The general public only knows the name of these cars, and not much about what makes them a quality vehicle.

After those two groups of cars, there is another group that most of the population would never be able to afford, and most people also do not know a lot about these cars. In fact, some people may not even know that some of these cars even exist. The cars I’m talking about are more than luxury cars, more than sports cars, and more money than four or five “regular” cars put together! Here are the top ten most expensive cars in the world:

Bugatti Veyron

Bugatti Veyron – With a price tag of $1,700,000, there aren’t too many people who you will see driving this vehicle around town. With “1001″ horsepower, this car has a 16.4 engine and it can get up to a speed of 400 kilometers per hour. This car was built by a subsidiary of Volkswagon in France, and it took years to perfect.

Ferrari Enzo – This sports car costs 1,000,000, and is also known as the Enzo Ferrari or the F60. It was built with Formula One Technology in 2003. This car and its brand name basically speaks for itself in the racing world.

Pagani Zonda C12F

Pagani Zonda C12 F – Weighing in at $741,000, this car is still too expensive for the average person to own, and probably the above average person as well! It sports a 7.3 V12 engine that has been passed down by its predecessors.

Koenigsegg CCX – This sports car will cost you $600,910 to buy, and it is worth every penny. The Competition Coupe X (CCX) commemorates the anniversary of the completion and first test drive of the first CC car in 1996. It has a 32 valve V-8 engine that was based on the Ford Modular engine design.

Porsche Carrera GT

Porsche Carrera GT – This car has a price tag of $484,000. Labeled as a super car, this German made sports car has a 5.7 liter, V10 engine. It also boasts a 612 SAE horsepower.

Mercedes SLR McLaren – Weighing in at a price of $455,00, this car is still too expensive to drive around town. The “SLR” in its name stands for “Sportlich, Leicht, Rennsport”, which is German for “Sport; Light; Racing”. This car has a 5.5, V8 engine.

Maybach 62 – This car will cost a more affordable $385,250. This is also the first of the above listed vehicles that is not a sports car. The Maybach 62 is known as an ultra-luxurious car, and was designed with a hired driver in mind.

Rolls-Royce Phantom – This luxury car costs $320,00, and it is one of he most well known brand names of the luxury car business. The Phantom was made in 2003, and it was the first to be made under the BMW name.

Lamborghini Murcielago – This sports car costs $279,900 to buy, and is a lot more affordable than the above sports vehicles! This car will definitely turn heads and has a 6.5 liter engine.

Aston Martin Vanquish – This super car will cost you $255,000 to buy, and it was featured as the official James Bond car in one of his films. This sports car has a 5.5 liter V12 engine.

What makes these cars so expensive? A combination of things contributes to the price tags of these vehicles. One part is the years of work that went into designing and making them. Another part would be the brand name of each car. Add to that the power of the engines, and the style of the cars, and you have the reason for the expensive price tags.

Paris Restaurant the Tour D’argent

There are numerous different types of restaurants in Paris and places that you could choose to eat out at, and many of the restaurants have lots of history and nostalgia, so we thought it would be an idea to focus on one in particular, called the Tour d’Argent.

This is actually the oldest restaurant in Paris and is known throughout the world for its traditional French cuisine and was first opened as an inn back in 1582, with the idea of catering for the aristocrats of the time.

By the early 1600’s it had become so popular that even duels were fought to get a table and savour the delicacies on offer!  Numerous dignitaries and royalty came to eat at the Tour d’Argent including King Louis XIV and the Duke of Morny, who resided at the mansion which is now home to the haute cuisine restaurant called the Taillevent.

But it was in the 19th century that the Tour d’Argent became even more famous when the owner, Frederic Delair created the ritual of the “Canard au Sang”, which is a complex dish known as pressed duck or bloody duck that uses a special solid silver press and it was shortly after devising this now famous recipe, he declared that every duck should bear a number.  For instance, number 328 was served to King Edward VII in 1890.

Andre Terrail purchased the Tour d’Argent in 1910, but the tradition of the numbered duck continued and duck number 40,312 was served to King Alfonso XIII in 1914.  Number 112,151 was served to Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1929 and duck number 938,451 was served to President Mikhail Gorbachev in 2001.

The Tour d’Argent celebrated its one millionth duck in 2003 and even today this tradition still continues where you are presented with a card showing what number duck you had for your meal, but this is just one of the reasons why this restaurant has become such a landmark and famous throughout the world.

Haute Cuisine from La Tour D'Argent

Now when you enter the Tour d’Argent you will immediately see displays in their small museum of items such as a menu from the maiden voyage of the Normandie through to a table set as it was in the 1800’s.  This is where you would usually be served aperitifs, yet the restaurant dining room is actually positioned on the sixth floor, which was added in 1936, and is accessed via a lift.

And because of its location with the fabulous views of Notre Dame Cathedral and the boats cruising the River Seine or looking at the shimmering lights of the city and the Eiffel Tower in the distance of an evening, becomes another reason why this Paris restaurant is so popular.

Obviously, because this haute cuisine restaurant plays host to celebrities, presidents, royalty, etc reservations are a must and you will need a healthy bank balance in which to thoroughly appreciate the gourmet dining experience along with their fabulous selection of fine wines, which brings us to another reason for its popularity.

Their incredible wine cellars hold around 400,000 bottles from fine vintages dating back to the 1800’s, rare brandies and even more rare champagnes that date from the 1700’s and the wine list itself is like reading a novel presented with its own stand!  The sommeliers are very knowledgeable and can recommend wines to pair excellently with your cuisine, yet prices can become quite high, with some vintage wines costing thousands of Euros!!  Yet if you are lucky enough, you may even be able to get a tour of the wine cellars before leaving, where a member of staff will escort you down underneath the restaurant and ceremoniously rings a copper bell to announce your arrival prior to entry into the cellars.

For many, to dine at this restaurant is a once in a life time experience, where you make sure you are in your best evening dress and the staff are dressed in tails.  In fact, this is such a traditional restaurant that even today the menu is presented to the lady without the costs and the gentleman has the pricing listed!

But booking a table for lunch is more reasonable than going all out on an evening meal, so if you are on a budget, yet still want to splash out, then this is the option for a wonderful gastronomic experience and a terrific view you will not forget.

5. Diversification

Depending on the currency, a certain level of prestige is associated with being a millionaire, which makes that amount of wealth a goal for some, and almost unattainable for others. – From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Mindset – A fixed mental attitude or disposition that predetermines a person’s responses to and interpretations of situations.

How do you see yourself financially? What is your attitude about your current financial situation?

Let me point out one important thing before I begin talking about the millionaire mindset. Millionaires are raised and taught to be that way; they are not just born with that state of mind. Yes, a person can be born into millions but that does not necessarily make them have a millionaire mindset. As we have seen around us many times, there have been people born into poverty that have learn the way of millionaires to change their current financial situation. They did not focus on their current state of living but they envisioned where they wanted to be and begin working toward that goal.

As I have said before in some of my other writings; ” Your attitude determines your altitude .” If you think of yourself as defeated, a loser and that you will never amount to nothing more that you are now; then you never will. If you see yourself as successful, a winner, accomplishing much in life; then you can and will. You must think about and fix your frame of mind on where you want to be and not where you are currently. If you are down and out in life now, you should begin focusing on moving upward and out of your current negative financial condition you are in. You do not have to stay in your current situation any longer. Success, wealth and a healthy lifestyle is within your reach.

Having a millionaire mindset is where becoming a millionaire begins. You do get millions first and then start thinking like a millionaire. You have to read in millions, think in millions, act like a million and dream in millions to have a millionaire mindset. You have to begin training like a millionaire to have a millionaire lifestyle. It just like anything else you have to train first to be successful at what you want to succeed at. You also have to surround yourself with people who understand and respect the millionaire mindset. It just like an athlete, everybody may not want to be an Olympic gold medalist, NBA all star or NFL top pick but they do encourage and support those who do want to. So it should be the same for you in your training to become a millionaire, people should encourage and support you as well. They should understand and respect you in your training to be a millionaire. You should know that it is your responsibility to gain that respect which you deserve in your pursuit for make millions.

Now that you understand that millionaires are developed and trained to be that way. You now have the key to unlock the secrets to have a millionaire mindset. So begin training like a millionaire, doing the things it will take for you to achieve the lifestyle you want and deserve. Do remember this, just like athletes you have to training long and hard to be successful. Success is not just luck; success comes from your hard work and is attained through your visions and well planned out goals you have set for yourself. The millionaire mindset is what separated the wealth from the not so wealth people in life. Millionaires work hard to not only get their million but also to maintain their millions.

So if a millionaire lifestyle is what you wanted, start training today. Begin reading what millionaires read, watching what millionaires watch and learning what millionaires did to become the millionaires they are. You must have this millionaire mindset if you wanted to be a millionaire also.

Experience the Versace Mansion

The former Versace Mansion, now known as The Villa by Barton G is located on Ocean Drive in South Beach, Miami. This stunning 19,000 square foot Villa, along with its elegance and magnificence also boasts an Observatory on its roof, Opulently decorated boutique-style rooms, Enchanting courtyard with Antique Fountain, Swimming Pools, Boutique Hotel, and Fine Dining Restaurant. It’s no wonder that the former Versace Mansion is the third most photographed house in the United States behind the White House and Graceland.

A Short History of The former Versace Mansion

The Villa, By Barton G. was born as Casa Casuarina in 1930, built by architect, philanthropist, author and political reformer Alden Freeman as an homage to the oldest existing house in the western hemisphere, the “Alcazar de Colon” in Santo Domingo.  The house in Santa Domingo was the home of Christopher Colubus’s son, Diego, in 1510. One of the house’s cornerstones actually contains original brick from the “Alcazar de Colon”.

In 1937, after Freeman’s death, Casa Casuarina was bought by Jacques Amsterdam, who renamed it “The Amsterdam Palace.” Operated as an apartment building, it housed artists attracted by its architectural curiosity.

In 1992, couturier Gianni Versace, Italian fashion designer and the founder of the Gianni Versace international fashion house,  first encountered Casa Casuarina. Versace exquisitely restored, expanded, and embellished its features, adding the south wing, the pool and garden areas.  He and his companion, Antonio D’Amico, were openly gay and were regulars on the international party scene. Versace was acquainted with some of the biggest icons of our time – Lady Diana, Madonna, and Elton John just to name a few.

The Casa became a private club in September 2000. Events impresario/restaurateur Barton G. Weiss acquired the mansion in December 2009, imprinting his own signature style on the storied house at 1116 Ocean Drive, which has now been reopened as The Villa by Barton G.

The Tragic Story of Versace’s Death

In 1997, at age 50, and at the top of his fashion game, Gianni went out for his usual morning walk down to the News Cafe on Ocean Drive for breakfast, a  regular morning ritual when in South Beach. Upon his return, he was shot dead on the doorsteps of his mansion by Andrew Cunanan, a 27 year old serial killer who had been stalking Versace for more than a year. Cunanan shortly thereafter turned the gun on himself, committing suicide after fleeing to a nearby boat in a massive Miami police standoff.

How Versace Obtained The House

In 1992, on a trip to Miami, Versace encountered Casa Casuarina for the first time. Although it had fallen into great disrepair, Versace fell in love with it and purchased the residence for 3 million dollars. He invested an additional 33 million dollars in to restoring it. That’s right, he put 33 million into a 3 million dollar house. He exquisitely restored, expanded and embellished all its features. He demolished the adjacent hotel to create the South wing, pool and garden. The result was a triumph in Italian design and the Casa soon became part of the world’s stage.

What Happened to The House After Versace’s Death?

Versace’s estate was massive and took several years to settle. To give you an idea just how big his estate was, he left his 11 year old niece, Allegra, a half a billion dollars. In September of 2000, telecom Executive Peter Loftin bought Casa Casuarina for 20 million from Versace’s sister Donatella, who now runs the famous brand.

The deal she made with Loftin was that she would sell the house to him for 20 million dollars, however this did not include the furniture. He agreed to the deal and she later sold off the furniture for 90 Million!

Owning Casa Casauarina has been dream of Loftin’s since Versace remodeled the house. After Loftin purchased it, he dedicated himself to both preserving its history and bringing vibrant new life to it. He hasn’t made any structural changes, but has done extensive work to preserve its architectural history. He restored all of the interior walls and brought back the opulent style of Versace with lavish furniture and details.

Renowned events impresario and restaurateur Barton G. Weiss has acquired the former Versace Mansion from Loftin, and takes up style where fashion designer Gianni Versace left off. After a more than $1 million renovation the 19,000-square-foot property was completed in March 2010.

The gated Villa is Miami Beach’s exclusive backdrop for weddings and events, and gives hotel guests exclusive access to the mansion’s upper floors and two private lounges. Gastronomes will delight in the restaurant at The Villa By Barton G. which serves its refined continental cuisine in the pebble-mosaiced Dining Room seven nights a week.

What is the Best Investment Strategy?

At first glance the best investment strategy in late 2007 was to sell every stock investment you held; and the best strategy in early 2009 was to put 100% of your investment portfolio into stocks. The result would have been no investment losses in 2008 and big profits in 2009 and early 2010. Your odds of doing this without a crystal ball were about zero. But with a simple and sound investment strategy you can make the best of any market situation.

The best investment strategy is not a formula that tells you when to dump one investment asset and when to buy and hold another on a short term basis. Trying to time the markets is speculation and beyond the scope of sensible investing for the average investor. What you need is a longer-term sound plan that only requires minor adjustments over time. Let’s look at the key elements to putting together your best investment strategy for long term profits with less risk.

You must take risk into consideration when judging the results of, or putting together any investment strategy. Our crystal ball scenario went from an asset allocation of zero for stock investment to 100%. Not only is this strategy very risky, it is also short-sighted. It begs the question: what do you do in 2010 and beyond? When do you cut your stock investment and run, and where do you go next? Overstay your welcome and your stock investment profits could evaporate in a few months, because the truth of the matter is that you have no long term investment strategy at all.

As an average investor, taking risk without a plan is not the way to play the investment game. It’s your money and it’s important to you. View putting together your best investment strategy like this: you want to earn in the neighborhood of 10% a year over the long term taking only a moderate amount of risk. This means that you will likely never make 50% or more in a year because you have no crystal ball. It also means that you have a real good chance of avoiding big losses that can upset your future financial plans (like a secure retirement) as well.

Every good investment strategy focuses on asset allocation. This means that you allocate your money by diversifying and spreading it across all four, or at least three of the asset classes. Starting with the safest these are: cash equivalents, bonds, stocks, and perhaps other investments called alternative investments (like real estate, foreign or international securities, and gold). The simplest and best way for you to do this is through mutual funds that invest in each of these areas: money market, bond, stock, and specialty funds, respectively.

For example, if you want relatively low risk and simplicity you might allocate 1/3 each to a money market fund, a bond fund, and a stock fund. At the beginning of each year you review your investment portfolio to make sure your asset allocation is on track. If, for example, your stock investment has grown from 33% to 40% of your to total investment value, move money from your stock fund to the other two to make them all equal again. By doing this you are taking money off the table from your riskier stock investment when the market gets pricey, and adding money to stocks when prices are lower. In this way you have lower risk, no need for a crystal ball, and you know exactly what you are going to do each and every new year.

If you feel the need to keep it simple, do so as in our example above. If you want to take the best investment strategy to the next level include international stock funds and specialty equity funds like real estate and gold funds. The added advantage here is that in the past these alternative investments have proven to have the potential to offset losses when stock prices in general are falling. In short, they offer even more diversification to your asset allocation.

While dressed in your nice clothes having a drink at this expensive bar begin soaking up what it will be like to live a millionaire lifestyle. Get used to having prosperity and abundance abound in your life.

4) Expect Success

Now that you understand how to live like a millionaire without breaking the bank, expect success in your life. If you don’t expect success and abundance in your life, who will? Obviously, these tips will not work if you do not run your business with effort and persistence. Work hard, put forth your best effort and anticipate prosperity and abundance to begin manifesting themselves in your life. The universe does not conspire against you, it actually wishes all this for you and is waiting to give it to you right now. This super bike is anyone’s dream bike. 8.3 liter engines, 400mph, 1500lbs, four wheel (yep two wheels virtually stuck together) suspension…the features just keep going on and on. From zero to 60mph in only 2.5 seconds. What makes it even more expensive is that there are only a hundred of these. What is the current market price? $250,000 USD. Bragging rights? Priceless.
